Cultivating Community: Free workshop on Explorations’ Issue 7

The title of the workshop “Cultivating Community” is based on the CPA’s (Climate Psychology Alliance)  7th issue of the online journal Explorations.

The focus will be on community building and the role of psychological professionals in this time of ecological and climate emergency. Examples include accounts of climate cafes across Australia; an international reflective group dialogue; community building by factory workers in Preston, UK; as well as community building by women in the Sunderban, an environmentally vulnerable area of India/Bangladesh. The issue also includes poetry, a short story and several book reviews. 

Format: The workshop will be a mixture of talks, reflection on specific questions in small groups and general group discussion.

Convenors:  Dr Els van Ooijen, who is a retired psychotherapist, climate advocate and writer. Els is a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance UK (CPA) and on the editorial board for Explorations, CPA’s journal. 

Dr Rembrandt Zegers, who is an organisation consultant and gestalt therapist, a member of CPA and on the editorial board for Explorations.
